Your pattern has a name
The Overgiver

You are the one who holds everyone. And if you are honest, no one is holding you.

THE OVERGIVER THE GIVER WHO EMPTIES

You are the one people lean on. You feel what a room needs before the room knows it needs anything, and you have already moved to give it. You are the strong one, the reliable one, the one who shows up, and people are grateful for you. They tell you so.

And in the quiet hours, when there is finally no one to hold, something else is there. A tiredness sleep does not reach. A resentment you would never say out loud. A thought you have trained yourself to look away from quickly, that you are loved for what you give, and that if you ever stopped, you would find out how much of the love was ever really for you.

So you never stop. You give until there is nothing left, and then you give the nothing. You make yourself the one who cannot be done without, and your own needs you have shrunk so small that most days you cannot even feel them.

The two of you
What they seeWhat you carry
The strong oneA tiredness sleep does not reach
So generousA resentment you cannot say out loud
Always there for everyoneA quiet sense that no one is there for you
Needs nothingNeeds made too small to feel
Loves so freelyHalf sure the love would leave if you stopped

This was never a flaw. It is a shape you took, long ago, to keep the love from leaving.

You give You empty You fear being left You give more THE LOOP

You will keep emptying yourself until you stop believing that love is a wage.

There is something in you that has never given to be loved. Never earned anything. Never once kept score. It was here before you learned to make yourself useful, and it has been watching the whole arrangement from the beginning, untouched.

That is the way out. Not more giving, and not less. The older traditions have a name for it, and a way of returning to it.

I wrote a short guide for exactly this loop.
It shows what built it and the one in you who was never caught in it.
